Multiple Input Multiple Output system
is a DC-DC converter with multiple input channels and multiple output channels
with some common components thus reducing the cost of the overall system
without sacrificing the quality.
In Ecosense’s MIMO system, we used 2
different DC Sources as the input energy source. The two DC Sources can be
connected individually with the MIMO at two input channels.
1. When switches S1 and S2 is ON, the
buck converter circuit gets completed and we get the buck output at two loads
marked as R1 and R2.
2. When switches S1, S2 and S3, S4
are ON, the buck-boost converter circuit gets completed and we get the
individual outputs at load R1 and R2.
3. For charging the battery connect
Battery at Vbat. Terminal, when switches S1, S2 are ON, the voltage V1 and V2
gets added and battery gets charged via Sbat2 switch making the circuit a buck
converter circuit.
4. For dis-charging the battery
connect Battery at Vbat. Terminal, when switches S3, S4 are ON, the battery
gets dis-charged via Sbat1 switch making the circuit a buck converter circuit.
Here is the circuit diagram of the
converter.
